Lee Ann Tegtmeier, editor-in-chief of Aviation Week's Overhaul & Maintenance magazine, received an Aerospace Journalist of the Year Award at the Paris Air Show, the company announced on June 16, 2009.
Paris, France -- Lee Ann Tegtmeier, recently named editor-in-chief of Aviation Week's Overhaul & Maintenance (O&M), was honored this week at the 2009 Aerospace Journalist of the Year Awards (AJOYA) Dinner & Presentation Ceremony, held at Le Meridien Etoile in Paris. The prizes are known as the world's most important awards for aviation writers and broadcasters.
Lee Ann Tegtmeier received the award for Best Propulsion Submission for O&M cover article "Cost vs. Performance"(Dec. 2008). As editor-in-chief of O&M, she has covered aviation maintenance for many years and has been an aviation journalist since 1991. In 2002, Lee Ann also won the Royal Aeronautical Society's AJOYA award in the maintenance category, and she has been a finalist in other years. She successfully launched the MRO blog on AviationWeek.com in 2006, and serves on Aviation Week's MRO Conference editorial boards, which plan and produce events in the U.S., Europe, Asia and the Middle East that attract more than 10,000 attendees each year.
