Canon Communications Buys Electronic Design News Magazine From Reed Business Information

Los Angeles, CA, February 16, 2010 - Canon Communications LLC announced today that is has acquired four media brands from Reed Business Information-US. These magazines serve the advanced design engineering sector in the United States, Asia, and Europe.

Included in the purchase are Electronic Design News (EDN), Design News, Test & Measurement World, and Packaging Digest. Canon says these brands hold lead positions in their markets. The transaction will reinforce Canon’s leading position in the advanced manufacturing sector worldwide in exhibitions, publications, and digital media. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
