Plumbing & Mechanical honored the 25 most influential contractors of the last quarter century, the magazine reported on March 17, 2009.

The list includes the first woman to be elected president of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors -- National Association, Mary Garvelink of Colorado Springs, as well as Richard Trethewey, well-known for his work on PBS's "This Old House."
