Project for Excellence in Journalism is a USA web site covering Media Business. The Pew Research Center's Project for Excellence in Journalism focuses on the information revolution, evaluating and studying the performance of the press. The Center aims to help both the journalists who produce the news and the people who consume it develop a better understanding of what the press is delivering, how the media are changing, and what forces are shaping those changes. For its first nine years, the Project was affiliated with the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. On July 1, 2006, the Project separated from CCJ and Columbia University, joining the Pew Research Center in Washington, D.C., which is funded by the Pew Charitable Trusts. Among many other projects, PEJ publishes the State of the News Media, an annual report on American journalism, and the Daily Briefing, a digest of media news. The web site is presented in the English language.
