Mediaweek reported on November 19, 2009:
"Garth Ancier is stepping down as president, BBC Worldwide America after three years.
There is no word on Ancier's replacement, with a search in its initial stages.
During his tenure, Ancier has increased BBC Worldwide America's profit by 78 percent, expanded BBC America's distribution to 65 million homes, launched BBC World News America and got the company's product on digital platforms.
Leaving the top executive post at BBC Worldwide America is said to be Ancier's decision."
