Spike TV will celebrate the work of legendary action movie star David Carradine with a marathon featuring some of his iconic characters on Saturday, June 13, 2009. Carradine's career spanned five decades with dozens of memorable roles ranging from the "Kung Fu" television series (1972-1975) to Quentin Tarantino's classic "Kill Bill" films. Carradine also appeared in the highly-rated Spike TV original film, "Kung Fu Killer," last August.

On June 4, 2009, Carradine was found dead in his room at the Swissôtel Nai Lert Park Hotel in central Bangkok, Thailand. A police official said Carradine was found hanging by a rope in the room's closet.
