Founded in 1994, Girlfriends magazine ceased publication in March 2006. It was a North American lesbian monthly filled with news, commentary, and entertainment. Girlfriends was known for its celebrity coverage and innovative annual features. All subscriptions were absorbed by Velvetpark magazine.

This magazine is owned by H.A.F.Publishing.
