Mary C. Hickey is returning to Ladies Home Journal as deputy editor responsible for the magazine's book features. Hickey was previously deputy editor at Parents magazine, and worked at LHJ from 1994 to 1996.

Ladies’ Home Journal Editor-In-Chief Sally Lee announced on July 1, 2009 that Erica Metzger has been promoted to Beauty Director. She is now responsible for all the beauty coverage in the 12-million-reader monthly, including style makeovers, new product reviews and beauty features.

Metzger has been part of the Ladies’ Home Journal team more than five years, most recently as Senior Beauty Editor, where she created story packages and produced makeover stories and shoots. She’s become a frequent TV spokesperson for the magazine, appearing on Weekend Today to share her insider tips on how to score free beauty samples, ABC News Now’s GMA Health to talk about the healing benefits of massages; E! News to share the secrets of achieving a fresh face, and more.

Prior to Ladies’ Home Journal, Metzger worked in the beauty departments at Harper’s Bazaar and W Magazine. She holds a BA in English from Rutgers University.

Metzger will be based in Ladies’ Home Journal’s editorial offices on Lexington Avenue in New York City.
