Sex and the City's Cynthia Nixon Joins WE tv's WE Volunteer Public Affairs Campaign

"NEW YORK, December 17, 2009 -- Actress/mother/activist Cynthia Nixon will be lending her voice to inspire women to discover the power of volunteering.

As a campaign volunteer, Nixon will help to inform women of all ages about the importance of community volunteerism.

Launched in April, WE Volunteer is WE tv's latest WE Empowers Women initiative encouraging women and the people in their lives to volunteer locally for one day (24 hours). The campaign makes it easy for women to learn how to volunteer in their communities, and the www.WEVolunteer.tv database allows them to quickly identify and connect with local organizations of personal interest."
