Launched in September 1997, Jane magazine ceased publication after the release of the August 2007 issue. The Conde Nast Publications magazine was aimed at single 20 something women and had an irreverent tone. Magazine creator and editor-in-chief Jane Pratt left in 2005, and ad pages dropped sharply after her departure. The web site for the magazine, Janemag.com, has also been shut down.

This magazine is owned by Fairchild Publications.
