Launched in 1985, VH1 presents music videos, live performances, the latest celebrity news, and music-related reality programs. From 1985 to 1994, the cable channel was known as VH-1: Video Hits One. While VH1 was created as a companion service to MTV, showing music videos for an older audience, today it focuses on reality programming.
