On March 26, 2009, Alpha Media Group announced that Blender magazine will cease print publication after releasing the April 2009 issue. The web site of the young men's music and entertainment magazine will remain active.
Joe Levy, the editor in chief of Blender, will become editor in chief of Maxim magazine.
Blender was launched in 2001. Along with Maxim and Stuff, it was originally owned by Dennis Publishing, the company renamed Alpha Media Group after its acquisition by a private equity firm in 2007.
