Gaiam and Discovery Communications Release Hit Titles From Discovery Channel

New York (February 1, 2010)-- Gaiam, Inc., a leading distributor of lifestyle media, today announced the release of five hit titles in February under their exclusive home video license agreement with Discovery Communications.

Two of the programs originally aired on Discovery Channel:

Medicine Men Go Wild - Are natural cures as effective as modern medicine? Can meditation help manage intense pain? Doctors Chris and Alexander Van Tulleken, identical twins from Britain, investigate these and other questions as they travel the world, immersing themselves in the medical practices of some of the most remote cultures on earth. Originally aired on Discovery Channel, this four-part documentary uncovers the mysteries of tribal medicine. Medicine Men Go Wild carries an SRP of $14.98 and runs 172 minutes. Street date: 2/23/10

Who Was Jesus? - In Who Was Jesus?, viewers get an in-depth narrative of the most famous man in history. From his childhood and his preachings, to his eventual persecution, this exclusive DVD examines the historical reality of the greatest story ever told. Who Was Jesus?, which originally aired on Discovery Channel, carries an SRP of $14.98 and runs 129 minutes. Street date: 2/9/10

Green Magazine Television 2nd Season Premieres on the Discovery Channel

"DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla., January 5, 2010 -- "Green Magazine Television" is a new television series featuring ecology and energy conscious companies and organizations. This series will showcase some of the newest and "greenest" technologies being utilized, and is scheduled to be aired as paid programming on the Discovery Channel.

The show opens with an in-depth look at the Global Gas Flaring Reduction (GGFR) partnership, a World Bank-led initiative, which gives the viewer an investigative look into the issue of global warming and its impact on our environment and the future of our planet.

Also featured on the inaugural 2010 show is Colorado State University a top public teaching and research university that has been named one of America's "greenest" universities for its deep commitment to advancing global and environmental sustainability."

Green Magazine TV Kicks Off 2nd Season on the Discovery Channel
