American Life TV

American Life TV is a USA TV network covering Christian Religion.

Launched on May 1, 1985, The AmericanLife TV Network is an American cable television network. Formerly known as the GoodLife TV Network and The Nostalgia Channel, it aims to serve the baby boomer generation by presenting old television programs along with some original programming. AmericanLife TV Network was owned by the Unification Church from 2001 to 2009. In May 2009 the network was bought by Dr. Robert Schuller, former pastor of Crystal Cathedral Ministries, and Chris Wyatt, the founder of religious video site GodTube. They plan to turn the network into a “family values” channel, though they claim it will not become a religious network per se. Schuller hosted the religious program The Hour of Power for many years. He will host a show on the reworked network.

The web site is presented in the English language.

The AmericanLife TV Network announced on October 12, 2009 that it will present the world premiere broadcast of two documentaries -- "Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West" and "The Third Jihad: Radical Islam's Vision for America." The announcement was made by ALN President & CEO Chris Wyatt.

"The Third Jihad" will premiere on Sunday, October 18, and "Obsession" will premiere on Sunday, December 6.

AmericanLife states that the "The Third Jihad" is:

"a documentary about the most urgent issue of our time, the destructive aims of Radical Islam and its mounting threat to America and the world. The film centers on the FBI discovery of a Grand Jihad Manifesto calling for a 'cultural jihad' to undermine the U.S. from within and exposes this impending force as rarely covered by mainstream media."

"The Third Jihad" includes interviews with former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, Senator Joe Lieberman, former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge, former CIA Director Jim Woolsey, New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, and founder and president of The American-Islamic Forum for Democracy Dr. Zuhdi Jasser.

AmericanLife describes "Obsession" as:

"an intriguing documentary that focuses on the threat radical Islam poses to Western civilization. Utilizing rarely seen footage from Arab television, eyewitness testimony, and expert interviews, it reveals an 'insider's view' of the hatred the Radicals are teaching, their incitement of global jihad, and their goal of world domination. The film also traces the parallels between the Nazi movement of World War II, the Radicals of today, and the Western world's response to both threats."

The film features interviews with Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz, Middle East Forum Director and columnist Daniel Pipes, militant Islamic terrorism expert and filmmaker Steve Emerson, former PLO terrorist Walid Shoebat, and former Hitler Youth Officer Alfons Heck.

"The Third Jihad" and "Obsession" are directed by Wayne Kopping, and produced by Raphael Shore.

Kopping is best known for his film and television work in South Africa, where he has produced several commercials, music videos and corporate films. Kopping previously co-directed & edited the documentary "Relentless: The Struggle for Peace in the Middle East," a film about the failure of the Oslo Peace Accords.
