Icy roads in North Carolina delayed delivery of the Henderson (N.C.) Times News for the third straight day, the newspaper reported on its website on February 1, 2010:
"Icy secondary roads delayed newspaper delivery for a third straight day as the area tried to dig out from the winter storm that dumped up to a foot of snow on Friday.
Subscribers may pick up copies of Saturday, Sunday and Monday issues at the Times-News office at 1717 Four Seasons Boulevard across from Blue Ridge Mall. The papers will be distributed while they last.
A survey of secondary roads and mountainous areas of the circulation area early today showed that many roads were still impassable because of ice, said Times-News circulation manager Mike Grier."
