West Michigan TV stations will be sharing more footage by pooling resources
-- Elizabeth Willis of the Battle Creek Enquirer reported on July 7, 2009:
"It's not déjà vu, but channel surfers might notice a strange sensation that they have seen the same video footage on three different West Michigan news stations.
That's because general managers at CBS' WWMT Newschannel 3, NBC's WOOD TV 8 and ABC's WZZM 13 have agreed to pool their resources when covering planned events, such ribbon cuttings and press conferences, starting Monday.
Instead of sending three photographers to the same event, the pool will send one. Each station will provide a photographer on a weekly rotation, said Jim Lutton, vice president and general manager of WWMT-3."
