Severe Thunderstorms Producing Tornadoes Across Oklahoma

-- The Oklahoman's web site, NewsOK.com, reported on May 19, 2010:

"At least six tornadoes have been reported so far today as severe thunderstorms continue to form and move across Oklahoma, according to the National Weather Service.

Spotters reported tornadoes about 3:30 p.m. near Leedey in Dewey County, about 4:40 p.m. near Hennessey in Kingfisher County, about 5:10 p.m. near of Douglas in Garfield County, about 5:15 p.m. near of Marshall in Logan County and about 5:40 p.m. near Loyal in Kingfisher County and another north of Kingfisher at 6 p.m., according to the weather service. No significant damage was reported. Television footage showed the tornado near Hennessey moving east through unpopulated areas before it lifted.

Weather service officials have issued several tornado warnings as the storms move across the state, including several that are still active."
