Morning Show Co-Host Mike Barz Dismissed from WFLD TV Channel 32

-- WFLD TV morning show man leaves the station the hard way, the Chicago Sun-Times reported on July 23, 2009:

"Morning show co-host Mike Barz has been dismissed from Fox-owned WFLD-Channel 32. The action came after Barz's "inappropriate and offensive behavior toward a fellow employee," a source familiar with developments said.

Barz was the co-host with Jan Jeffcoat of the 7 a.m to 10 a.m. portion of the five-hour-long "Good Day Chicago." A WFLD spokeswoman would not confirm who was involved. The incident is said to have occurred at a going-away party earlier this month for former WFLD medical reporter Margaret Shortridge.

The alleged improper behavior is the second time Barz has gotten into hot water over behavior at a going-away party while at WFLD."
