-- Condé Nast announced on October 5, 2009 that it has closed Modern Bride and Elegant Bride magazines. The company also announced the closure of two other magazines -- Gourmet and Cookie.
The the October/November 2009 issue of Modern Bride magazine is the last to be published, along with the Fall issue of Elegant Bride.
Conde Nast also owns Brides magazine, which will increase publishing frequency to 12 times a year.
