Toronto Star - A Very Liberal Newspaper
-- The Toronto Star is a very liberal paper although it is more loyal to the Liberal Party than to leftist causes. The far left NDP is often attacked, though most of the negative sentiment in the paper is reserved for the ruling Conservative Party of Canada and the current Conservative PM, Stephen Harper. The Toronto Star runs at leat one negative story about the ruling party every single day and any casual observer will see about 3 or 4 news stories with a negative tone and about 3 or 4 negative opinion pieces about the Conservatives every week. The least biased writers are Jim Travers and Chantel Herbert. Virtually every other opinion writer is fiercly anti conservative and often anti-american as well. Figures about the Iraq war are also simply made up by some writers. One common muslim apologist in the paper condemns America and Israel once per month and asserts that 1 million Iraqi civilians died in the Iraq war. The real number is about 65,000. Still horrible, but 1 million sounds better to the Star.
