Curtis Hubbard Named Editorial Page Editor at Denver Post
-- Hubbard succeeds Dan Haley, who left the newspaper in May to take a position in corporate communications for CoBank. The announcement was made June 23, 2011 by the newspaper's publisher, William Dean Singleton.
"As a native Coloradan and an editor who has covered Colorado politics for a long time, Curtis is uniquely qualified to direct the editorial and opinion coverage of The Denver Post," said Singleton. "The Post plays an important role in setting the state's agenda and bringing its population together to discuss the important issues of our time. I look forward to working with Curtis in his new role."
Hubbard has been the Post's politics editor since January 2007. Prior to that, he was the newspaper's state editor. He has also held editorial positions at the Jackson Hole News & Guide and Boulder Daily Camera.
His appointment is effective July 5.
