National Geographic Adventure Magazine Ends Print Publication, Goes Online-Only

-- The National Geographic Society is shutting down the print edition of National Geographic Adventure magazine, the Society announced on December 3, 2009. The magazine will cease print publication after the release of the December-January issue.

The National Geographic Adventure website will remain active.

The National Geographic Society also publishes National Geographic, National Geographic Traveler, National Geographic Kids and National Geographic Little Kids.

Launched in March 1999, National Geographic Adventure magazine had a circulation of 625,000 copies and was published eight times per year.
