Time.com Names Catherine Sharick Managing Editor

-- Sharick previously served as executive editor at the online home of Time magazine, having begun with the site in 2002 as a producer.

The announcement came via an internal memo, obtained by the Poynter Institute, dated January 17, 2012 from top editors John Huey and Rick Stengel:

"There is no one who knows more about Time.com’s operations than Cathy Sharick. There is no one more digitally fluent. No one more involved in every facet of the site. And there is no one who has contributed more to making Time.com a success -- including three record-breaking months of traffic and 11% growth in visitors to the site last year."
