TLC to Premiere Special, 'Paranormal Court'

Los Angeles, February 26, 2010 -- Today, TLC announced plans to premiere 'Paranormal Court,' a one-hour program following Robert Hansen, a renowned psychic medium who steps in to help families get the answers they need because the death of a loved one has left them with questions and a lack of closure. Viewers are taken on a journey with Robert as he is called in to settle disputes and get three families the verdict that they need once and for all.

'Paranormal Court' demonstrates Robert's psychic abilities in solving disputes when two parties come together and agree to be bound by the ruling enlisted from the other side. First, a mother and daughter battle over their loved one's gold cross. Then, a close-knit group of siblings is ripped apart after one allegedly steals their dead brother's car. And finally, a mother's inability to let go of her deceased daughter strains her marriage to the breaking point. Can Robert provide these families with a resolution -- so that their loved ones may rest in peace?

"'Paranormal Court' is about helping families in their time of need," said TLC SVP Production and Development, Nancy Daniels. "Robert Hansen is an amazing talent with deep compassion. He connects with families and their lost loved ones to resolve issues surrounding death -- and most importantly to give them closure."

LC to Premiere New Series - ADDICTED

"LOS ANGELES, January 14, 2010 -- Today, TLC announced plans to premiere ADDICTED, a one-hour docu-series following the lives of individuals struggling with addiction as they work with interventionist Kristina Wandzilak. Each riveting episode will take viewers on the unpredictable journey of recovery and the harrowing struggle to become sober.

New series ADDICTED will demonstrate the debilitating disease of addiction and how it not only affects the addict but the family as well. And no one more intimately knows this than top interventionist Kristina Wandzilak. As a recovering addict herself, Kristina pulls from her own experiences, bringing a level of understanding and compassion to the healing process.

ADDICTED will focus on one person per episode. And while the problem of substance abuse is addressed, the family and the addict are also given the tools to not only get well in the moment but to continue a healthy life, or as Kristina says, "not just how to get in the door but how to walk the path." The interventions that take place are planned by all members of the family, including the addict. TLC will take viewers inside the difficult, but ultimately inspiring battle to overcome substance abuse. "Addiction happens to good people and decent families all the time," says Wandzilak. "I know how to change a life, and I know how to live better. I can do that. I am an example of it, and if I can do it, anyone can."

"This is a series about family, change and hope," said TLC President Eileen O'Neill.

"ADDICTED is a raw and authentic portrait of addiction in America and while viewers will see the brutal battle for sobriety, it ultimately demonstrates the importance of substance abuse treatment -- and makes for powerful television."
