Prince Saud al-Faisal, the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia, speaking at a meeting with reporters at the Saudi Arabian embassy in Washington D.C. on September 22, 2005, as reported in the September 23, 2005 edition of The New York Times. The minister said that he had been warning the Bush administration in recent days that Iraq was hurtling toward disintegration, a development that he said could drag the entire region into war. "There is no dynamic now pulling the nation together," he said in a meeting with reporters at the Saudi Embassy. "All the dynamics are pulling the country apart."
