The comment was made by Ted Koppel of ABC News on April 21, 2003, when he was interviewed by Marvin Kalb. During that interview Koppel also said that "everyone who cooperates with a journalist has a self-centered reason for doing so." And in reference to the 2003 Iraq war he said: "Did I feel like I was used? I've been used for 40 years."
