Al-Ahram ("The Pyramids" in Arabic) is the highest circulation newspaper in Egypt. It was founded in 1875 by two Lebanese brothers, Beshara and Saleem Taqla. Published in Cairo, editorial content of the newspaper is controlled by the Egyptian Ministry of Information.
Al-Ahram's main edition is published in Arabic for its Egyptian readership. The newspaper also publishes two other Arabic language editions, one for the Arab World/Middle East and one for an international audience. It also publishes an English and French edition.

Al-Ahram is one of the largest circulation newspapers in the world. Mondo Times covers newspapers around the world.
