The newspaper's stated mission is to be the key source of information about the church in Chicago. The Chicago Catholic provides news, analysis and commentary about the church at the world, national and local levels and about issues of concern to the Catholic community. It also acts as an instrument of evangelization by providing current information and guidance in matters of faith, morals and spiritual life.
