The Greene County Daily World is the largest daily newspaper in Greene County, Indiana. It was formed from the merger of the Linton Daily Citizen and Bloomfield Evening World on January 1, 2006.
The newspaper began in 1905 as a semi-weekly publication owned by Joe E. Turner called the Daily Citizen. Rust Communications bought the paper on January 1, 2003, and acquired the Bloomfield Evening World On April 1, 2003.
