The St. Helena Echo covered local news in Greensburg and the surrounding communities of St. Helena Parish, Louisiana. It was established in 1857.

In October 2014, Capital City Press bought the Echo along with the Zachary Plainsman-News, The Watchman in East Feliciana Parish and The St. Francisville Democrat from Louisiana State Newspapers. The company then merged the Echo with The Watchman and The St. Francisville Democrat to create The Advocate Extra, a weekly supplement to the Baton Rouge Advocate, which is also owned by Capital City Press.
