The Holden Landmark covers local news and events in the towns of Holden, Paxton, Princeton, Rutland and Sterling, all to the north of Worcester, Massachusetts.

In February 2018, GateHouse Media bought the Holden Landmark Corporation which owned the Landmark, the Leominster Champion, the Grafton News and the Millbury-Sutton Chronicle plus Worcester Magazine and Bay State Parent. On November 19, 2019, the paper became part of Gannett Company when the owner of GateHouse Media bought Gannett and merged it with GateHouse under the Gannett name.

In September 2022, CherryRoad Media acquired the Holden Landmark, The Grafton News, Millbury-Sutton Chronicle and Leominster Champion newspapers from Gannett Company, just before they were to be shut down. CherryRoad has been buying community newspapers for several years and now owns 71 papers in 12 states.

The Holden Landmark Names Kristen Payson Editor
-- In June 2019, Kristen Payson replaced Rebecca Humphrey as the editor of the Holden Landmark. Humphrey had replaced Amanda Collins who left to become editor of sister publication Bay State Parent in March 2018.
