The Creative Loafing Charlotte was a weekly newspaper in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA covering local entertainment, events and culture.

Creative Loafing Charlotte was first published in 1987, and was shut down by then-owner Charles Womack III on October 31, 2018. November 1, 2018 was the last issue date of the alternative weekly paper, and Ryan Pitkin was the last editor-in-chief.

The paper was created by the founders of Creative Loafing Atlanta, and it was their first venture beyond the Atlanta market. The newspaper offered news, arts coverage, classifieds and entertainment listings for the Charlotte metropolitan area and was distributed free of charge.

SouthComm acquired the newspaper from CL Inc. on October 10, 2011. In August 2014, Southcomm sold the paper to Charles Womack, the owner of Womack Newspapers Inc. On October 31, 2018, Charles Womack announced that he was selling the paper to his son, Alex Womack, 28, and his company, Womack Digital LLC.

This publication is a member of the Association of Alternative Newsmedia (AAN). AAN is a group of newspapers and magazines providing journalism that offers an alternative to the mainstream media in the area.
