WTOP FM 103.5 provides local news, traffic and weather 24 hours a day in Washington, D.C. and can be heard on 107.7 FM in Virginia and 103.9 FM in Frederick, Maryland. The station calls itself "Washington's Top News."

The station first went on the air in September 1926 and bgan using the call letters WTOP in 1943. The new call letters were inherited from a police radio station in Tiffen, Ohio, abbreviated as TOP for Tiffen Ohio Police. The station began using an all-news format on March 9, 1969. In April 2011, Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc. purchased a group of radio stations including WTOP from Bonneville International Corporation, a business of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Hubbard Broadcasting is a family-owned company based in Minnesota.
