Newser is a USA website covering National News.
Newser is a website with brief summaries of breaking news stories. It uses human editors who choose the most important news stories from hundreds of U.S. and international sources and reduce them to a headline, a picture or video and a brief written summary. The writers and editors at Newser don't cover the news directly; they cover the web's coverage of the news. Their goal is to add human intelligence to machine-driven aggregation (the kind offered by services like Google News). The Newser slogan is "read less, know more."
Newser was founded in 2007 by Michael Wolff, a journalist and the author of a number of books including "The Man Who Owns the News," a biography of Rupert Murdoch.
This website is owned by Newser, LLC.

"In my neighborhood in New York there are countless 20- and 30-something celebrities who I don’t recognize. I had to be clued in that the girl in the Polish diner was Chloë Sevigny, that the guy jogging on Delancy Street was Justin Long (whoever he is), and that the fellow in the window of the pizza place around the corner was a...
