CNBC

CNBC is a USA television channel covering National News.

CNBC is a television business and financial news channel providing live financial market coverage and business information. From its headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, CNBC provides business news from 5 am to 7 pm Eastern Time. Several tickers provide updates on stock, bond and commodity prices. At night, the channel offers a mix of reality programming, exclusive series and in-house documentaries.

CNBC was launched on April 17, 1989 as the "Consumer News and Business Channel" by NBC and Cablevision in a 50-50 joint venture. Initially, CNBC competed with the Financial News Network (FNN). On May 21, 1991, CNBC acquired FNN for $154 million and immediately merged the two operations using the name CNBC/FNN. At that time Cablevision sold its stake in the service to NBC.

It is one of the worst American media outlets, according to Mondo Times members.

This television channel is owned by NBCUniversal.
