Netflix

Netflix is a USA television channel.

Netflix is a video streaming service that offers a wide variety of TV shows, movies, anime and documentaries. It is sometimes referred to as an "over the top" or "OTT" service because it is accessed directly via the Internet without the use of a broadcast, cable or satellite intermediary.

As of mid-2020, Netflix claims over 193 million paid memberships in 190 countries. Members can watch as much as they want on any internet-connected screen. They can also download programs to watch without an internet connection.

Netflix was founded in 1997 by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph. In 1999 the company began offering customers the ability to select movies and TV shows at the Netflix website which were delivered by mail on DVDs with a prepaid return envelope. Streaming video content was introduced in 2007. Starting in 2012, the company began to produce and distribute its own "Netflix Original" content and it is now a leading producer of video entertainment.

This television channel is owned by Netflix, Inc.
