Link TV

Link TV was a USA television channel.

Link TV airs programs produced around the world, providing a range of perspectives on news, events and culture. The national satellite TV channel presented issues not often covered in the U.S. media and connected American viewers with people at the heart of breaking events and organizations in the forefront of social change. The service is ad-free and supported by grants and donations.

The Link TV schedule included newscasts from Al Jazeera English, France 24, Deutsche Welle and NHK.

Link TV began broadcasting on December 15, 1999 as WorldLink TV, operated by Link Media Inc. The channel was awarded an FCC "set-aside" non-commercial license on DirecTV and was also added to EchoStar's Dish Network. Today it is available on Dish Network Channel 9410 and DirecTV Channel 375.

In October 2012, Link Media Inc. merged with KCET TV 28, a Los Angeles public television station, to form KCETLink Media Group. In 2018, KCETLink merged with PBS SoCal, owner of KOCE TV 50 in Orange County, to create the Public Media Group of Southern California, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

In November 2023, Link TV shut down broadcasting on satellite television due to financial struggles.

This television channel was owned by Public Media Group of Southern California.
