CBS Television Network

CBS Television Network is a USA television network.

The CBS Television Network is one of the major American TV networks along with ABC, Fox, NBC and PBS. It has more than 200 local television station affiliates reaching virtually every home in the United States. Popular CBS network programs include the drama NCIS, the sitcom The Big Bang Theory and the newsmagazine 60 Minutes. The network also operates CBS News and CBS Sports.

CBS was established in 1928 when founder William Paley purchased 16 independent radio stations and named them the Columbia Broadcast System. It was sometimes referred to as "The Tiffany Network," possibly in reference to the quality of its programming in the 1950s and 60s.

This television channel is owned by CBS Entertainment Group.
