NBC Television Network

NBC Television Network is a USA television network.

The National Broadcasting Company (NBC) is one of the leading American television networks. Through its affiliate TV stations, NBC broadcasts both across the USA and around the world. Its programming consists of news, reality TV, entertainment shows and cultural and political specials. Popular NBC shows include This Is Us, The Blacklist, The Voice and Saturday Night Live.

Established in 1926 by the Radio Corporation of America (RCA), NBC was the first major broadcast network in the United States. General Electric acquired NBC when it purchased RCA in 1986. General Electric sold a majority interest in operating company NBC Universal to Comcast Corporation in January 2011.

NBC is referred to as "the peacock network" due to its stylized peacock logo, which was designed in the 1960's to promote the introduction of color broadcasting. NBC has 19 owned-and-operated TV stations and about 200 affiliates in the United States. The company also operates NBC News and NBC Sports.

It is one of the worst American media outlets, according to Mondo Times members.

This television channel is owned by NBCUniversal.

-- Viewership of the Olympics on NBC dropped by almost half (47%) relative to the 2018 games in South Korea. NBC Plans Fake Noise for Audience-Free Tokyo Summer Olympics
-- The preferred euphemism for it is "enhanced viewing experience." There won't be any spectators in the Tokyo venues of the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, so NBC plans to sex things up with artificial crowd noise and cameras in the homes of athletes' families. Welcome to the made-only-for-TV Olympics. Oliver Darcy wrote at CNN on July 9, 2021: Olympics 2021: NBC faces 'hell of a challenge' producing Tokyo Games after spectators are barred from competitions

-- Four episodes of the hit show depicting actors in blackface will no longer be aired, NBC Universal has announced.
