Syfy (Sci Fi Channel)

Syfy (Sci Fi Channel) is a USA television channel.

Syfy, originally called the SciFi Channel, is a cable television channel presenting science fiction, fantasy and horror programs. Sci Fi was launched on September 24, 1992 by USA Networks. Through a series of transactions, the network ended up in the hands of NBC Universal.

The Sci Fi Channel became "Syfy" on July 7, 2009. While it is meant to be pronounced "scifi," the company said that unlike the generic term for science fiction, "Syfy" can be protected by trademark.

It is one of the best American media outlets, according to Mondo Times members.

This television channel is owned by NBCUniversal.
