Gateway Journalism Review is a USA magazine covering Media Business.
Gateway Journalism Review (GJR) is an academic quarterly offering critical analysis of the mass media in the American Midwest from Ohio to Oklahoma and from North Dakota to Arkansas. Its goal is "to regularly review journalism, new media, photojournalism, advertising, public relations and entertainment media to help ensure the public has the most credible, fair media possible."
GJR began over 50 years ago as St. Louis Journalism Review, founded by Charles Klotzer. Today it is based at Southern Illinois University Carbondale and takes advantage of the student and faculty resources of the university's School of Journalism in the College of Mass Communication and Media Arts. The Review accepts media-related pitches from scholars and prefers work with a Midwestern angle.
This magazine is owned by Southern Illinois University.
