Camille Edwards Joins WABC TV 7 as VP of News

-- Edwards replaces Kenny Plotnick, who left his position on June 1, 2012.
Dave Davis, WABC TV 7 president and GM, announced the news on July 30, 2012.
"Camille Edwards's proven commitment to excellence in local TV news, along with her innovative work expanding news content to new-media platforms, made her the ideal choice for the top news post at WABC," said Davis.
He added: "We're all proud to welcome Camille back to the ABC Owned Television Stations Group and look forward to her continuing success ahead at WABC-TV."
Edwards joins WABC from WRC TV 4 in Washington, DC, where she served as VP of news. Prior to that, Edwards held the title of news director of WMAQ TV 5 in Chicago.
Her appointment at WABC takes immediate effect.
