-- December 22, 2014: WVTM TV, the NBC network affiliate in Birmingham, Alabama, has been acquired by the Hearst Corporation from Media General Inc. Hearst announced that Henry "Hank" Price will be the new general manager of WVTM. Since 2000, Price has served as the GM of WXII TV, the NBC affiliate in Greensboro/Winston-Salem, North Carolina, which is also owned by Hearst.
