WLFI TV 18 is the CBS network affliate station broadcasting from West Lafayette across Tippecanoe County and west central Indiana.
The station began broadcasting in 1953 as WFAM TV, which became WLFI TV in 1967. Heartland Media bought the station from Nexstar Media Group in January 2017. In February 2020, Allen Media Broadcasting bought WLFI TV and 10 other stations from Heartland Media, although the stations continue to be managed by Heartland.
Allen Media Broadcasting is a unit of Allen Media Group, which is part of Entertainment Studios, Inc., a business founded and controlled by Byron Allen.
