A+E Networks

A+E Networks, formerly known as A&E Television Networks, operates a group of television channels available via cable, satellite and online. These services include A&E, Lifetime, History and FYI. The company also produces home videos/DVDs, computer games and educational software.

A+E Networks is a 50/50 joint venture owned by Hearst Corporation and Disney-ABC Television Group. Until 2012, NBC Universal held a 25% interest in the company. After Comcast Corporation acquired NBC Universal in May 2012, that interest was sold to Hearst and Disney.

The company was founded in 1983 and in 1984 launched its first two cable television channels -- Arts & Entertainment Network, since renamed A+E, and Lifetime Television. The company says that its success is based on "specializing in the human experience."

Today A+E operates ten television channels reaching over 300 million households in 150 countries.

The original Arts & Entertainment channel provided evening and late night programming on the same channel as the children's television channel Nickelodeon, which signed off at 9:00 P.M. eastern time. A&E began programming 24 hours a day in 1985.

Makes no sense to overload on Storage Wars & Duck Dynasty and cancel your crown jewel, Dog the Bounty Hunter. Bring Dog the Bounty Hunter! If you must cancel something, cancel CSI Miami, which is on a half dozen other stations as well.

Why are the commercials so much louder than they need to be? The show and the commercials should be at the same volume.

Recently watched a couple of episodes of Manhunters:fugitive task force on Ci network, while watching a young man commented arrest all the n*%#@#grs and sp#&s.I did research most violent crime 60% committed by whites, why is it all episodes i've seen only has blacks or hispanics getting arrested? I would like a response to my questions. This only lends itself to certain misrepresentaion of two groups of people.

I realy think the movie's are great to watch, but a 1 1/2 hour movie tahes 3 hours due to all the commercials that are shown!Does it cost too much to show the program's or do they take excessive profit's!!!

"I need to see good shows on T.V.. No evil, no bad, violence, drugs, sex relations & orientations & jestures that are a symbol of making people scared & defensive."

I am so disgusted with dog the bounty Hunter, his fat wife and inbred redneck kids. I'm ashamed to admit that I watched this show even a second while channel surfin. The episode that I watched showed dog and the family roll up in a neighborhood full of people with kids and a pit bull on a chain tied to a tire. The people hold the real dog back even though dog is only trying to protect its family. Meanwhile DBH & fam have the whole block in a tizzy cause they can't find the bad guy. They leave come back later like a bunch of thugs and wind up shooting the people's dog plus there were lots of people around with kids. someone is going to get killed if they continue being such bullies. When they do catch the bad guy they give him a coffin nail to smoke and pray for him. what a crock. A&E needs to put the arts and entertainment back in A&E. Get rid of Dog the B.H. and his entire pathetic fam.

I can't believe that someone made a decision to have a movie like " Animal House " being shown on Christmas Day. What are you thinking?
