WFXB TV 43 is the Fox network affiliate station in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina broadcasting across the "The Grand Strand" (the 60 miles of sandy beaches from the border of North Carolina and South Carolina to Georgetown County) and Pee Dee regions of the state.
The station was launched in 1984 as WGSE TV, a religious station that in 1995 became an affiliate of The WB. In June 1996, JME Media, Inc. bought WGSE. On January 24, 1997 WGSE signed on as a Fox Television Network affiliate and changed its call letters to WFXB.
